Ramallah (Occupied Palestine) – Israeli occupation forces have arrested at least 15 Palestinians from various parts of the West Bank since last night until Monday morning, bringing the total number of detainees since October 7 to 9,670, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, citing a joint statement from the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners Club.

The two human rights organizations detailed that Israeli occupation forces arrested at least 15 Palestinians from the West Bank overnight. The arrests were distributed across the governorates of Hebron, Nablus, Ramallah, Jenin, and Tulkarm.

The statement added that the total number of arrests since October 7 has risen to approximately 9,670. This number includes those arrested from their homes, at military checkpoints, those forced to turn themselves in under pressure, and those held as hostages.

Furthermore, during these arrest campaigns, the occupation forces conduct extensive raids and abuse in the governorates, towns, and refugee camps, involving severe beatings and threats against detainees and their families. They also carry out field interrogations of dozens of Palestinian citizens, vandalize and destroy homes, shoot directly at people with intent to kill, and confiscate money and vehicles.

Various parts of the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem experience daily raids and incursions by occupation forces, accompanied by confrontations, arrests, and the use of live and rubber bullets and toxic tear gas against Palestinian youth.

It should be noted that the occupation forces continue to carry out systematic arrest campaigns as one of their most consistent policies, which have escalated unprecedentedly since October 7, 2023, not only in the number of detainees but also in the severity of the crimes committed against them.
