Alger-Paris Route Ranks Sixth Busiest in Africa

The air route connecting Algiers to Paris-Charles de Gaulle has been ranked as the sixth busiest international line across the African continent. According to the latest classification from the Official Airline Guide (OAG), this vital connection underscores Algeria's robust air connectivity and its prominent position in linking France with Africa.

The OAG statistics for September 2026 recorded 128,406 seats on the Alger-Paris-CDG route, placing it ahead of several other frequently used international African routes. This includes connections such as Cairo-Doha, Addis Ababa-Dubai, Cairo-Dammam, and Cairo-Istanbul, highlighting the route's high volume and importance within regional air travel.

The significant traffic on this route is primarily managed by three airline carriers: Air Algérie, Air France, and ASL Airlines, with the latter operating at a lower frequency. These airlines collectively provide a substantial number of daily frequencies, ranging from 10 to 13 flights from Paris-CDG to Algiers, notably serving as a key travel corridor for the Algerian diaspora residing in France.
