Trade between Russia's Tula region and Algeria saw a significant increase in 2025, with total trade volume rising eleven-fold. This substantial growth was primarily attributed to the export of machinery products from the Tula region to Algeria, as reported by Dmitry Pronin, Deputy Minister of Industry for the Tula region.

Algeria holds a prominent position as a key trading partner for the Tula region, ranking first among African countries for the export of Tula's products. The strong economic ties between the two nations align with their broader strategic partnership, with particular focus on collaborations in information technology and mechanical engineering sectors, according to Alexei Shatilov, Russia's Trade Representative in Algeria.
