Fire Recovery Efforts Enter Final Phase Across Algeria

Minister of Interior, Local Communities, and Urban Development, Said Saayoud, announced Wednesday that the operations to compensate fire victims and rehabilitate affected areas have reached their final phase. The Minister made this statement to the press during the opening of the ordinary parliamentary session, underscoring the advanced stage of these national recovery initiatives.
The compensation process has concluded in states that did not record significant losses. In Jijel Province, the operation is in its final stages of completion. Additionally, all rehabilitation efforts for residential units classified in the green and orange categories have been successfully carried out, restoring these homes for their owners.
For dwellings categorized as red, the government will provide new housing for the affected residents in the near future. The comprehensive compensation initiative has also extended to cover damaged livestock and household furniture, ensuring broader support for those impacted by the fires.
Looking ahead, the next phase of compensation will focus on fruit trees, with these payments scheduled to commence starting October 15. This systematic approach highlights the government's commitment to addressing all facets of recovery for its citizens.
