Italy, Algeria Deepen Cooperation on Maritime Transport, Agriculture

Minister of Interior, Local Communities and Urban Planning, Said Sayoud, welcomed the Italian Republic's Ambassador to Algeria, Alessandra Schiavo, today. The two parties engaged in discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and broadening partnership prospects, according to a statement from the Ministry.

During their meeting, discussions specifically addressed enhancing collaboration in the field of maritime transport. This included exploring opportunities for training and the exchange of expertise, alongside initiatives to bolster cooperation in ship maintenance. Furthermore, the officials addressed the development of partnerships between various institutions and stakeholders within the sector.

The agenda also covered methods to accelerate the implementation of the agricultural investment project situated in Timimoun province. This project is part of the ongoing Algerian-Italian partnership, with both sides committed to reinforcing coordination to ensure its completion aligns with predetermined objectives.
