Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, received a phone call on Tuesday from the Lebanese Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, Mr. Abdullah Bouhabib, according to a statement from the Algerian Ministry.
During the call, the Lebanese minister expressed his country’s deep gratitude to President Abdelmadjid Tebboune for his solidarity and support during Lebanon’s challenging times. He specifically thanked Algeria for its decision to provide Lebanon with a shipment of fuel to help operate its electricity generation plants. This gesture, he noted, was greatly appreciated and resonated positively across all segments of the Lebanese population.
Minister Bouhabib also extended his sincere thanks and appreciation for Algeria’s efforts in the United Nations Security Council in defending Lebanon’s positions, vital interests, and territorial sovereignty against repeated Israeli aggressions.
