Global Top 10 Includes Four Low-Cost Carriers Serving Algeria

Four low-cost airlines providing services to Algeria have been listed in the Skytrax global Top 10 for 2026, a recognition that highlights the country's improved accessibility from key European and Middle Eastern hubs. These carriers are among the world's best low-cost operators, signaling a positive development for Algeria's air travel network and potential for increased tourism and economic engagement.

Among the ranked airlines, Vueling secured the 3rd position globally. The Spanish carrier offers flights to Algerian cities such as Algiers and Oran from its bases in Alicante and Barcelona. Following Vueling, Volotea, another Spanish airline, was ranked 6th worldwide. Volotea facilitates travel to Algeria from various French cities including Lyon, Bordeaux, Marseille, and Limoges.

Rounding out the four airlines serving Algeria in the global Top 10 are Transavia France and Flynas. Transavia France was placed 7th in the Skytrax 2026 ranking.
