Three Provinces Launch Appliance Exports to Region
Algeria has launched three significant export operations for electronic and household appliances from the wilayas of El Tarf, Sétif, and Bordj Bou Arreridj. These initiatives mark a notable expansion of Algerian products into regional markets and underscore the increasing export capabilities of Algerian companies. The efforts are part of a broader national strategy to diversify the economic product, strengthen the national economy, and increase the volume of non-hydrocarbon exports, reflecting the tangible results of national economic policies.
From El Tarf, an operation led by Mr. Abderrahmane Saâdi, advisor to the Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, saw Biolux export 10 containers of household appliances, including refrigerators, air conditioners, and washing machines, to Tunisia. Concurrently in Sétif, consignments departed for Tunisia. Sinova Samsung contributed with eight trucks carrying 342 dishwashers and 216 refrigerators, while Iris dispatched 15 trucks loaded with 770 refrigerators, 400 freezers, and 240 washing machines, demonstrating Sétif's role as a vital industrial hub.
Further strengthening Algeria's export reach, the wilaya of Bordj Bou Arreridj initiated a major shipment under the supervision of Mr. Abdeslam Djahnit, responsible for managing the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion. Condor exported 37 containers of electronic and household appliances to six international markets: Mauritania, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Jordan, and Mali. Additionally, Géant contributed with seven containers of similar products destined for Tunisia. The inclusion of Mali as a new market highlights the expanding geographical scope of Algerian exports.
These coordinated export endeavors across multiple provinces confirm the quality and competitiveness of Algerian-made products and the rising international demand for them. They represent a strategic advancement in supporting national production, encouraging industrial investment, and assisting economic operators, thereby consolidating the country's drive towards a more diversified and robust economy.
