Paris-Algiers route to feature new Transavia A320neo

Transavia will introduce its new Airbus A320neo aircraft on the Paris-Algiers route, commencing October 25, 2026. This deployment is part of the airline's progressive modernization efforts, aiming to enhance air travel services for passengers utilizing the key international connection between Paris-Orly and Algiers. The A320neo, noted for its modern design and improved performance, will be gradually integrated into certain flights on this route, replacing some existing Boeing 737-800 operations.

Travelers on selected Paris-Algiers flights can anticipate an improved experience with the new Airbus A320neo. The European-manufactured aircraft features a wider cabin compared to the Boeing 737-800, measuring approximately 3.70 meters. This design offers enhanced space for seating and a more spacious central aisle, which is expected to facilitate boarding processes and improve overall passenger comfort.

Transavia, the low-cost subsidiary of Air France-KLM, operates a daily rotation from Paris-Orly Airport to Algiers. The introduction of the A320neo on some of these flights aligns with the company's broader fleet renewal strategy, which projects the replacement of its Boeing 737-800s by 2030. While the A320neo and the 737-800 carry a similar number of passengers, with the A320neo accommodating up to 190 and the 737-800 up to 189, the upgrade focuses on modernizing the onboard experience for passengers traveling to and from Algeria.
