High Council for Scientific Diaspora Inaugurated in Algiers

The High Council for the National Scientific Community Abroad officially convened its first meeting today in Algiers, presided over by Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Kamel Baddari. This significant gathering marks a formal step towards leveraging the expertise of Algerian scientists residing abroad.

The inauguration followed a preceding meeting between Minister Baddari and Professor Elias Zerhouni, who serves as the coordinator for the High Council. Their discussions, held yesterday evening, set the stage for the Council's agenda.

A key focus of these preliminary talks was the Virtual Education Systems and Artificial Intelligence Technology Center (TIVES). Minister Baddari and Professor Zerhouni reviewed the current status of the center and outlined its future development program, emphasizing its strategic importance for national technological advancement.
