Gaza: Death Toll Rises to 42,289 Martyrs Amid Israeli Aggression

Gaza – On Monday, medical sources reported that the death toll in Gaza has surged to 42,289, the majority of whom are children and women, following the ongoing Israeli aggression that began on October 7, 2023.

According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, the number of injuries has also climbed to 98,684 since the start of the assault. Thousands of victims are still trapped under the rubble, with rescue efforts hampered by the intense violence.

The medical sources further revealed that Israeli forces committed four massacres against families in Gaza over the past 24 hours, resulting in the deaths of 62 Palestinians and leaving 220 others injured.

Rescue teams and civil defense units are struggling to reach many of the victims who remain buried beneath the debris or stranded in the streets, as the continuous bombardment makes it nearly impossible to provide aid.

A previous report had put the death toll at 42,227 martyrs, with 98,464 injured, as a result of the relentless Israeli assault on Gaza. The aggression has caused an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe, with more than 85% of Gaza’s population—approximately 1.9 million people—forced to flee their homes.
