Gaza – Palestinian health authorities announced on Sunday, October 20, 2024, that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, which began on October 7, 2023, has risen to 42,603 martyrs, with 99,795 people injured.
The report highlighted that the Israeli occupation forces have committed seven massacres against families in Gaza in the past 24 hours, resulting in the death of 84 Palestinians and the injury of 158 others. Thousands of victims remain trapped under the rubble and scattered across the streets, as rescue and civil defense teams are prevented by the occupation forces from reaching them.
One of the most recent atrocities occurred in Beit Lahia, in the northern Gaza governorate, between last night and this morning, leaving 87 Palestinians dead and over 40 injured, some of whom are in critical condition.
A previous report stated that 42,519 Palestinians had been killed and 99,637 injured since the start of the aggression. The relentless assault has created an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe, forcing over 85% of Gaza’s population—equivalent to 1.9 million people—to flee their homes in search of safety.
