Financial Compensation for Internships
One of the significant measures announced is the activation of financial compensation for students in their final year of medical studies, who are required to complete field internships in professional environments, such as hospitals.
Students participating in these internships will receive a daily allowance of 500 Algerian dinars for meals, in accordance with Article 10 of Executive Decree No. 13-306.
Educational Supplies for Dentistry Students
Additionally, the ministry directed universities to provide essential educational kits for third-year dentistry students to support their academic work and practical training.
Timeline and Implementation
These measures will be implemented during the months of October, November, and December 2024, subject to the availability of funds. The initiative will also continue under the next fiscal year’s budget to ensure sustained support for students.
These decisions reflect the ministry’s commitment to enhancing the academic experience of medical students and ensuring that they receive the necessary resources to complete their education successfully.
