Hundreds of Israeli Settlers Storm Al-Aqsa Mosque Under Protection of Occupation Forces

Occupied Jerusalem – Hundreds of Israeli settlers stormed the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque on Thursday, supported by Israeli occupation forces, according to a report by the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA).

Local sources reported that successive groups of settlers entered the western part of the Al-Aqsa compound in large numbers, performing Talmudic rituals under the pretext of what the Israeli authorities refer to as “Jewish holidays.”

The occupation forces intensified their military presence in the Old City of Jerusalem, blocking the road leading from Bab Al-Asbat (Lion’s Gate) to Bab Al-Maghariba (Moroccan Gate) and obstructing Palestinian worshippers from accessing Al-Aqsa Mosque in order to facilitate the settlers’ incursion.

Escalating Restrictions Against Palestinians During Jewish Holidays

The Israeli occupation systematically exploits “Jewish holidays” to tighten restrictions on Palestinians and impose collective punishments. These include closing checkpoints, intensifying military measures, obstructing Palestinians’ movement, and preventing them from accessing holy sites. Meanwhile, settlers are given free access to invade Palestinian towns and Islamic heritage sites throughout the West Bank, especially the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron and the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.
