
The Chief of Staff of the Algerian National People’s Army, General Saïd Chengriha, recently received the Deputy Minister of the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Joaquín Quintas Solá, marking an important diplomatic meeting between the two nations.
According to a statement released by the Algerian Ministry of Defense, the meeting is part of an official visit to Algeria by the Cuban Deputy Minister, who arrived leading a high-ranking delegation. The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation and aligning efforts to overcome common challenges.
During the meeting, both parties emphasized the importance of coordination to enhance cooperation between the two countries. General Chengriha underlined the deep-rooted and historic relations between Algeria and Cuba, describing them as based on shared values and unwavering principles. These foundations, he noted, have established exemplary cooperation, particularly in the context of supporting oppressed peoples and championing just causes worldwide.
Furthermore, General Chengriha expressed the commitment of the Algerian National People’s Army to implement the strategic visions of the leaders of both nations. In turn, Lieutenant General Joaquín Quintas Solá praised the dedication he observed from General Chengriha to further strengthen bilateral relations.
