Algiers – A massive crowd gathered on Friday to witness the military parade overseen by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, celebrating the 70th anniversary of Algeria’s Liberation Revolution. Citizens of all ages, including men, women, children, and the elderly, lined the Sablette Park area along National Road 11 near the Great Mosque of Algiers, coming from across Algiers and nearby regions to be part of the momentous occasion.
The parade was marked by high public enthusiasm, as spectators cheered the various units of the National People’s Army adorned with the Algerian flag. The display showcased Algeria’s military capabilities, and the crowd interacted warmly with each division, applauding and waving flags as they passed by.
People from various areas of Algiers and neighboring provinces attended, while security, military personnel, and civil services ensured seamless organization and safety throughout the event. President Tebboune saluted the public as he began the parade inspection, accompanied by military music, a 70-gun salute, a cavalry formation from the Republican Guard, and a motorcycle procession.
