Algerian Ligue 1 Mobilis: JS Kabylie Joins League Leaders as Tlemcen Triumphs Over Olympic Akbou

Intense Competition and Standings Shifts in Algerian Ligue 1

Algerian football’s Ligue 1 Mobilis saw shifts at the top of the leaderboard after JS Kabylie secured an away victory over US Biskra, winning 1-0 with a decisive goal by Senegalese player Babacar Sarr in the 83rd minute. This win elevates JS Kabylie to the top of the standings with 12 points, sharing first place with MC Algiers, USM Algiers, and CS Constantine. Meanwhile, US Biskra has dropped to tenth with 8 points.

In a surprising turn, Olympic Akbou missed a chance to take the lead after falling at home to Tlemcen (1-2). Despite an initial lead with a goal by Wassaa in the 59th minute, Tlemcen’s Chakeb Aoujan turned the game around, pushing Akbou down to fifth place with 11 points, where they join MC Oran and ES Sétif. This victory propelled Tlemcen to eighth with a total of 10 points.

Saturday’s games featured several notable outcomes. MC Oran defeated CS Constantine (1-0) in a closed-door match, handing Constantine its first loss and allowing MC Oran to rise to fifth with 11 points. ES Sétif, led by Imad Eddine Boubker’s goal, beat ASO Chlef (1-0), moving up to the fifth position. ASO Chlef, however, remains near the bottom, positioned just above relegation with 5 points.

Elsewhere, USM Khenchela broke a three-game losing streak with a 1-0 victory over NC Magra, courtesy of a goal from Boushmara in the 33rd minute. This win pushed Khenchela to ninth place with 9 points, while NC Magra lingers at 14th with 6 points.

Mouloudia Bejaia missed an opportunity to distance itself from the relegation zone, managing only a 1-1 draw at home against Paradou AC. Bejaia holds 7 points, sharing 11th place with JS Saoura, while Paradou and NC Magra remain in the lower ranks with 6 points each.

Meanwhile, the matches between CR Belouizdad – JS Saoura and the capital derby between USM Algiers – MC Algiers have been postponed.
