Algiers – The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, has issued a presidential decree appointing the members of the Algerian government. The announcement was made in a statement from the Presidency of the Republic on Monday.
The statement read: “By virtue of a presidential decree, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has appointed the following members of the government:”
- Nadir Larbaoui: Prime Minister
- Said Chengriha: Delegate Minister to the Minister of National Defense, Chief of Staff of the National People’s Army
- Ahmed Attaf: State Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad, and African Affairs
- Mohamed Arkab: State Minister, Minister of Energy, Mines, and Renewable Energies
- Ibrahim Merad: Minister of Interior, Local Authorities, and Urban Development
- Lotfi Bougmaâ: Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals (replacing Rachid Tabi, reassigned to other duties)
- Laziz Faid: Minister of Finance
- Eid Rabiqa: Minister of Mujahideen and Rights Holders
- Yousef Belmehdi: Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments
- Kamel Baddari: Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research
