Algiers – The working meeting on exports, chaired by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, was described as “important and fruitful” by Kamel Moula, President of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council, during a press statement held at the Presidency of the Republic on Thursday.
The meeting focused on the critical role of non-hydrocarbon exports in Algeria’s economic development, providing an overview of achievements and outlining future goals in this sector.
Boosting Non-Hydrocarbon Exports
Moula highlighted the pivotal role of enterprises in increasing Algeria’s non-hydrocarbon export revenues. He noted that the establishment of 20,000 new enterprises, a key target, would lead to production surpluses capable of significantly enhancing the country’s export portfolio.
Council’s Support for New Leadership
On this occasion, Moula congratulated Boukhari on his appointment as Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, affirming that the Algerian Economic Renewal Council would act as a strong supporter of the minister in achieving his objectives.
This meeting underscores Algeria’s commitment to diversifying its economy, reducing reliance on hydrocarbons, and fostering sustainable growth through export-oriented strategies.
