Algiers – President Abdelmadjid Tebboune renewed his commitment to strengthening Algeria’s achievements in safeguarding citizens’ dignity and improving their living standards. Speaking on Sunday before the nation’s Parliament at the Palace of Nations in Algiers, he emphasized the importance of continuing sustainable economic and social development.
Commitment to Citizen-Centric Governance
Addressing both chambers of Parliament, President Tebboune remarked:
“It is a great honor to address the Algerian people and the national public through their representatives in Parliament. This reflects the political will to establish a new framework for managing public affairs.”
He underscored the institutional significance of this practice, affirming respect for the legislative authority and the essential role of parliamentarians in representing the concerns and aspirations of citizens across all provinces.
Building on Achievements
In the early months of his second presidential term, Tebboune pledged to:
- Enhance national accomplishments to safeguard citizens’ dignity.
- Improve overall living conditions through effective programs.
- Launch a political dialogue, as committed during his inauguration on September 17.
He stated:
“Today’s Algeria is on a steady path forward. The Algeria of today is not the Algeria of yesterday.”
