The Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Fisheries has announced the completion of the first new local grain storage center in Tiaret Province. The facility boasts a storage capacity of 5,000 tons.
In a statement released on Thursday, the ministry confirmed that the center is equipped with all necessary facilities to receive the 2024-2025 grain harvest. It also noted that 10 additional centers are expected to be completed across the province soon.
This project is part of the national program to enhance storage capacities, which aims to establish 350 local storage centers across 52 provinces, providing a total storage capacity of 1.75 million tons.
