Algiers – The Minister of Veterans and Rights, Eid Rabiqa, chaired a meeting with central administration officials at the ministry’s headquarters to evaluate the achievements of the Directorate of Organization, Card Management, Information Technology, and Archives for 2024. This comes as part of preparations for the annual assessment of both central and decentralized services, according to a statement issued by the ministry on Monday.

The statement highlighted that the meeting, held Sunday evening, marked the start of a series of sessions with central directors to discuss the ministry’s performance and plans for the upcoming year.

The meeting focused on reviewing the Directorate’s accomplishments in 2024 and outlining its program for 2025. Discussions included the progress of various projects aligned with the national strategy for digital transformation. This strategy encompasses digital infrastructure, governance, a connected society, and cybersecurity, in line with President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s directives to modernize sectors and integrate advanced technologies.

Key initiatives aimed at enhancing public services were also presented, such as simplifying procedures, improving citizen engagement, and integrating the new administrative divisions with the central network of institutions and directorates.

The session addressed the digitization of archives and electronic document management, ensuring the readiness of the ministry to facilitate data exchange with other government entities. This approach is designed to streamline administrative processes, reduce bureaucracy, and improve citizen services.

Additionally, the ministry’s contribution to the National Portal for Public Services was explained, along with the status of projects planned for 2025, including those under implementation.

Minister Rabiqa emphasized the importance of these evaluations, stating, “These sessions will continue with program leaders to assess activities, prioritize tasks, and explore the prospects for programs in 2025.”
