The Chairman of the Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Community Committee in Algeria’s National People’s Assembly, Mohamed Khwan, hosted a meeting on Thursday with Leonid Slutsky, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee and leader of the Liberal Democratic Party in the Russian Duma. The meeting was held in the presence of Abdel Salam Beshagha, head of the Algeria-Russia Parliamentary Friendship Group, as reported by the Assembly’s statement.
The meeting included an in-depth exchange of perspectives on the state of bilateral relations between Algeria and Russia and explored future avenues for strengthening these ties. Khwan noted that this partnership represents a pivotal step toward deepening cooperation between the two nations.
He also stressed the importance of translating this partnership into practical initiatives across various sectors, contributing to sustainable development and enhancing both countries’ influence on the global stage.
