Algiers – On Monday, January 13, 2025, Salma Bakhta Mansouri, Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of African Affairs, arrived in Juba, the capital of South Sudan, for an official visit, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This visit is part of Algeria’s participation in the African Union High-Level Committee on South Sudan (C5 Committee). Through this engagement, Algeria aims to “contribute to strengthening efforts for peace and stability in this brotherly nation.”
The visit underscores the firm commitment of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to advancing joint African action and addressing the continent’s challenges. It reflects Algeria’s dedication to promoting peace, stability, and development across Africa, further solidifying its role as a leader in regional diplomacy.
