
Algiers – During a Council of Ministers meeting on Monday, January 13, 2025, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune reaffirmed that union rights are fully guaranteed in Algeria, and the state is committed to respecting these rights.
According to a statement from the Council of Ministers, President Tebboune emphasized the importance of strengthening union activities and fostering social dialogue. He noted that the government relies on robust and representative unions to advance labor relations and improve workplace conditions.
The President also stressed that union restructuring and adaptation under the new legal framework should contribute to strengthening social dialogue across all sectors, reinforcing Algeria’s commitment to progressive labor policies and cooperative governance.
