Algiers – The Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Algeria, Mr. Dong Guangli, expressed on Thursday, January 16, 2025, his country’s unwavering support for Algeria in fulfilling its prominent role on the global stage, particularly within the framework of the United Nations Security Council, the Arab League, and the African Union.
Speaking after presenting his credentials to the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Mr. Guangli stated, “We support Algeria in fully assuming its role in international and regional affairs.”
The Chinese ambassador emphasized the honor of representing his country in Algeria, describing it as a “brotherly and friendly nation with which we share historic and revolutionary ties.” He also reiterated his commitment to “work tirelessly to implement the major directives set by the leaders of our two countries.”
He further pledged to spare no effort in fulfilling his diplomatic mission, highlighting the importance of enhancing political trust and advancing economic and trade cooperation, particularly in the field of investment.
Mr. Guangli underscored the need to boost Chinese investments in Algeria while diversifying cultural and humanitarian exchanges to strengthen the “bonds of friendship between the two peoples.”
The ambassador added, “China and Algeria share a common history, and we are pleased to see that under the enlightened and visionary leadership of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Algeria has embarked on a development path that aligns with its unique realities.”
He continued by saying, “Together, we will work towards achieving synergy and alignment, mutually drawing inspiration from the grand strategies of both nations.” The ambassador also noted that these joint efforts would “bring mutual benefits to both our peoples.”
