Pharmaceutical Production: Minister Foud Hadji Meets with Social Partners and Industry Professionals

Algiers – The Delegate Minister in charge of Pharmaceutical Production, Mr. Fouad Hadji, held a meeting on Thursday, January 30, 2025, with representatives from the National Union of Pharmacy Operators (UNOP), the National Union of Private Pharmacists (SNAPO), and the Algerian Association of Pharmaceutical Distributors (ADPHA). The discussions focused on the current state of the national market for medicines and medical supplies, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Industry and Pharmaceutical Production.

The meeting was part of the implementation of directives from President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, aimed at achieving health sovereignty by strengthening local production in the pharmaceutical industry.

Key Discussions and Objectives
During the meeting, participants examined the realities of the national pharmaceutical market, with a particular focus on ensuring a continuous supply of medical products and improving patient care. Minister Hadji reiterated his commitment to boosting national production as a strategic priority, emphasizing the importance of digitization in tracking the supply chain of medicines and regulating the market to ensure quality and availability.

The minister stressed the need for joint efforts and close coordination among all stakeholders to overcome challenges and find effective solutions that support the development of the national pharmaceutical industry.
