Bougali Received in Cairo by Chairman of the Arab Parliament

Algiers – President of the National People’s Assembly and Chairman of the Arab Parliamentary Union, Ibrahim Bougali, was received in Cairo by Chairman of the Arab Parliament, Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Yammahi. This meeting is to preside over the Seventh Joint Conference between the Arab Parliament and the Arab Parliamentary Union, along with Presidents of Arab Parliaments and Councils, which is being held today with wide participation from Arab parliamentary bodies, according to a statement from the National People’s Assembly.

The statement noted that the conference, held at the headquarters of the Arab League, will adopt a unified Arab parliamentary document titled: “An Arab Parliamentary Document Supporting the Palestinian People’s Resistance on Their Land and Rejecting Plans of Displacement and Annexation, and Confronting Efforts to Liquidate the Palestinian Cause.”

The reception was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Arab Parliament and Member of the Algerian Council of the Nation, Fouad Spota; Member of the Arab Parliament and MP Youssef Rahmania; the Algerian Ambassador to Cairo, Sofian Braham; and the Secretary-General of the Arab Parliament, Kamal Shehatawi, and the Secretary-General of the Arab Parliamentary Union, Ahmed Ba Abed.
