The National Association of Traders and Artisans issued a statement on Friday urging all traders and economic operators listed on the Eid al-Fitr duty schedules to strictly comply, ensuring the continuity of public services.
The association emphasized that adherence to these schedules aligns with Article 8 of Law 13-06 governing commercial activities, stating it will “build consumer trust and avoid penalties, which range from a 30-day closure to fines up to 200,000 DZD.”
It noted that “over 54,000 professionals, mobilized by the Ministry of Internal Trade and Market Regulation across all municipalities, represent various production, commercial, and service activities—sufficient to meet demand and ensure service continuity.” Wholesale markets are also required to remain operational and maintain supply.
Additionally, the association alerted taxi and bus operators that land transport stations will stay open throughout Eid, urging them and all drivers to comply with traffic laws and avoid violations that could endanger lives.
