Palestine’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Riyad Mansour, called on the international community to take immediate action to stop Zionist violations against Palestinians, impose sanctions on these crimes, support ceasefire demands, ensure justice for countless martyrs, and establish peace.
The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported that on Friday, Mansour sent identical letters to the UN Secretary-General, the Security Council President for April, and the General Assembly President, addressing the Zionist occupation’s ongoing collective aggression against Palestinians before the world’s eyes. He highlighted the horrific destruction in Gaza and the nightmare imposed on the occupied West Bank, violating all principles of humanitarian law and humanity itself.
Mansour noted that since the ceasefire breach on March 18, 1,249 Palestinians have been martyred and over 3,000 injured. He pointed to a Zionist massacre on March 23 that killed 15 humanitarian workers—including 8 Palestinian Red Crescent paramedics, 6 civil defense paramedics, and a UN employee—while they rescued victims of an attack in Rafah. He demanded an independent international investigation into this atrocity and all other Zionist crimes against Palestinians to ensure accountability and justice.
He urged immediate measures to end this Zionist genocide, halt attacks by occupation forces and settlers on Palestinians in Gaza and the occupied territories, including East Jerusalem, and address the ongoing aggression in the West Bank, including incitement at Al-Haram Al-Sharif. Mansour condemned the forced displacement of Palestinians, citing attacks on refugee camps in Bethlehem, mirroring the destruction and mass displacement in Jenin, Tulkarm, and Nour Shams, as Zionist forces continue efforts to fragment the West Bank through settlement expansion. http://dzwatch.dz
