Batna – On Sunday, August 31, 2025, the Minister of Post and Telecommunications, Said Ali Zerouki, announced a program to extend fiber optic coverage to all regions of Algeria by 2027, according to a report by Sabaq Press.
During a working and inspection visit to Batna Province, Zerouki stated, “Our goal is to deploy fiber optics across the entire national territory by 2027.”
In a conversation with a citizen, the minister reassured that “fiber optics will reach all municipalities and districts.”
He elaborated, saying, “The process of connecting to the fiber optic network follows a specific action plan. There are programs to deploy fiber optics starting from major cities—the heart of the province—before branching out to districts and municipalities.”
