Algeria Reaffirms Historic Friendship with Vietnam on 80th National Day

Algiers – The Minister of Mujahideen and Rights Holders, Abdelmalek Tacherift, representing the Algerian government, took part on Wednesday in the ceremony organized at the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Algiers marking the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day, according to a statement from the ministry.

The event was an opportunity to reaffirm the deep-rooted historical ties between Algeria and Vietnam, ties that trace back to the solidarity of both peoples in their struggles for freedom and independence. The statement emphasized the shared determination of both nations to reinforce bonds of friendship and strengthen bilateral cooperation across various sectors.

This participation reflects Algeria’s consistent diplomatic approach of supporting liberation causes, defending the principles of sovereignty and independence, while promoting international solidarity and partnerships. It also underlines Algeria’s steadfast position in standing with peoples resisting foreign domination, a position that continues to show contrast to the Moroccan regime’s alignment with neo-colonial ambitions in the region, particularly regarding the Western Sahara issue.
