Algiers, September 28, 2025 – Algeria has lost one of its most prominent artistic figures with the passing of veteran actor Fawzi Saichi, widely known by his stage name “Rameemz.”
The announcement was made on Sunday by the National Office of Copyright and Related Rights (ONDA), which confirmed the death of the celebrated actor, who captivated audiences through his remarkable performances in theater, television, and cinema. Saichi leaves behind an enduring legacy in the Algerian cultural scene.
In a message of condolence, Samir Thaâlabi, Director General of ONDA, expressed his deep sorrow: “We extend our heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathy to the family of the deceased and to the entire Algerian artistic community. May the Almighty grant him His infinite mercy, welcome him into His vast paradise, and grant his loved ones patience and solace.”
