AADL Program to Support Development and Address Citizens’ Needs

Algeria has officially launched the ADIL program, designed to strengthen the path of development and ensure that the essential needs of citizens are properly addressed. Interior and Transport Minister Said Saayoud highlighted that the initiative, formally titled Support for Integrated Local Development (ADIL), is the result of a tripartite partnership between the Ministry of Interior, the European Union, and the Netherlands. He stressed that Algeria is experiencing promising economic indicators and positive transformations, largely driven by the program of the President of the Republic, aimed at achieving integrated and sustainable socio-economic development.

Saayoud emphasized that Algeria is entering a new phase of development, with tangible results visible in major projects such as housing, infrastructure, healthcare, and education, all of which contribute to improving citizens’ living conditions. The minister explained that the ADIL program initially covers four provinces—Biskra, Tiaret, Tebessa, and Mostaganem—while efforts are underway to extend it to the rest of the country in order to achieve local development that meets the needs of the population.

He also praised the significant financial resources allocated from the state budget in recent years, which have enabled the completion of integrated development projects across municipalities. Furthermore, Saayoud announced that the program will introduce innovative approaches to managing local public affairs, establishing frameworks to encourage cooperation among local communities, ensuring the pooling of resources, and tackling local challenges more effectively.
