Algiers – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad, and African Affairs announced on Tuesday the evacuation of 11 Algerian citizens who participated in the “Convoy of Resilience” through the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
According to the ministry’s statement, the evacuation operation was supervised by Jordanian authorities at Algeria’s request, in close coordination with the Algerian embassy in Amman, which closely followed all developments and ensured the provision of full support and care to the citizens, in implementation of instructions from the country’s highest authorities.
The Algerian embassy in Amman will be responsible for repatriating these citizens to their homeland as soon as possible.
Earlier the same day, Minister of State and Foreign Affairs Ahmed Attaf held a phone call with Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi. During the call, Minister Attaf expressed Algeria’s gratitude and appreciation for the fraternal and noble stance shown by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, praising its positive and generous response to Algeria’s request for assistance in facilitating the evacuation procedures of its nationals.
This cooperation reflects the strong brotherly relations between Algeria and Jordan and Algeria’s commitment to safeguard the well-being of its citizens abroad under all circumstances.
