Algiers, October 28, 2025 – The Algerian Women’s National Football Team, affectionately known as Les Fennecs (The Desert Foxes), have secured their place in the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations! The team clinched qualification today following a hard-fought victory against Cameroon in the second leg of their qualifying round.
Playing away in Cameroon, the Algerian squad demonstrated resilience and skill, ultimately winning the match 1-0. The decisive goal was scored by the talented player, Dafer, in the 25th minute of the game. This crucial goal cemented Algeria’s dominance in the tie.
