Alger, Algeria – Former President of the Council of the Nation, and Mujahid, Salah Goujil, called on Algerians Saturday to firmly uphold the values of the November Revolution. He emphasized that this adherence is crucial for strengthening the internal front and effectively confronting current challenges facing the nation.
Speaking in Algiers, Goujil stressed the enduring importance of the principles that guided Algeria’s struggle for independence. He asserted that these values – unity, solidarity, sacrifice, and national pride – remain vital in navigating the complexities of the modern world.
“The spirit of November is not merely a historical memory; it is a living force that must inspire us to overcome any obstacle,” Goujil stated. He further elaborated that a strong internal front, rooted in these shared values, is the best defense against external pressures and internal divisions.
Goujil’s call comes at a time when Algeria, like many nations, faces a range of economic, social, and geopolitical challenges. His message underscores the need for national cohesion and a renewed commitment to the ideals that shaped the nation’s identity. He urged all segments of Algerian society – from government officials to ordinary citizens – to embrace the November values in their daily lives and work towards a more prosperous and unified future.
The November Revolution, a pivotal moment in Algeria’s history, began on November 1, 1954, marking the start of the war for independence from French colonial rule. Its legacy continues to shape Algeria’s national consciousness and political discourse.
