Ministry Denies Minister’s Remarks on European Consultation

Algiers, November 8, 2025 – The Ministry of Youth has refuted claims attributed to the Minister of Youth, Mustapha Hidaoui, regarding alleged consultations with European nations on youth-related issues. The denial comes after a foreign website published a statement purportedly made by the Minister, which was subsequently picked up by several media outlets.

In a clarifying statement released on Saturday, the Ministry addressed the reports, stating, “Following the publication by a foreign website, and its subsequent dissemination by certain media channels, of a statement attributed to the Minister of Youth, who is also responsible for the Supreme Council of Youth, alleging that ‘Europe is now consulting Algeria on youth matters and seeking solutions to address the social problems of its youth,’ the Ministry deems it necessary to clarify the situation.”

The Ministry categorically denied the veracity of the published statement. “The Minister has not made any such declaration, either in an official meeting or to the media. What has been published is entirely devoid of truth,” the statement emphasized.

The Ministry further urged all media outlets to exercise due diligence and verify information before publishing, relying solely on official Ministry channels for accurate and verified news and statements. DZWatch News remains committed to providing accurate and reliable information to its readers.

The incident underscores the importance of responsible journalism and the need for media outlets to confirm information with official sources before disseminating it to the public. The Ministry’s swift response aims to prevent the spread of misinformation and maintain the integrity of official communications.
