Ooredoo Algeria Donates Medical Equipment to University Hospitals

Algiers, November 6, 2025 – Ooredoo Algeria has donated a range of medical and technical equipment to two prominent university hospitals in the capital, Algiers. The donation, made in collaboration with the national patient support association “Win Nelga,” aims to bolster healthcare services and improve patient care.

The beneficiary departments include the pulmonology unit at the Mohamed Lamine Debaghine University Hospital and the oncology surgery unit at the Mustapha Pacha University Hospital (formerly known as the Deboussi General Surgery Clinic). The contribution encompasses a variety of surgical instruments, surgical carts, medical refrigerators, and air conditioning units. These resources are specifically intended to enhance the working environment for medical staff and to elevate the quality of care provided to patients.

A handover ceremony was held at Ooredoo’s headquarters, attended by the company’s General Manager, Roni Tohme, along with senior executives from Ooredoo, representatives from the beneficiary hospitals, and officials from the “Win Nelga” patient support association.

During the ceremony, Mr. Tohme stated, “Through this symbolic gesture, we express our deep gratitude and appreciation to the medical community and all healthcare professionals who tirelessly serve patients every day. Ooredoo is proud to support healthcare institutions, alongside our partners, in fulfilling their noble missions.”
