FLN Leader Praises Revitalized Interior Ministry

Algiers, November 8, 2025 – The head of the National Liberation Front (FLN) parliamentary group has lauded the renewed dynamism within the Ministry of Interior, Local Authorities, and Transportation, emphasizing its increased accessibility to citizens.

Zouhair Nassiri, speaking to DZWatch on the sidelines of the installation ceremony for three newly appointed delegate governors of administrative districts in Algiers, stated that the ministry is undergoing a significant transformation. He highlighted Minister Said Sayoud’s commitment to direct engagement, noting that the Minister spends a considerable amount of time in the field, personally overseeing local development projects.

Nassiri believes this hands-on approach has significantly enhanced the effectiveness of local administrations. “The Minister’s presence on the ground ensures a more direct understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing local communities,” he stated.

“The sector is now demonstrably closer to the citizen,” Nassiri continued, adding that collaborative efforts between the Ministry, the Wilaya of Algiers, local councils, and the Parliament have contributed to improved sustainable development, particularly within the capital city. He emphasized the importance of this collaborative spirit in driving positive change at the local level.

Minister of Interior, Local Authorities, and Transportation, Said Sayoud, presided over the installation of three new delegate governors for the administrative districts of Cheraga, Dar El Beida, and Sidi M’Hamed in Algiers earlier today.
