The Algerian Ministry of National Defense has released its monthly operational report, highlighting significant successes achieved by the People’s National Army in combating terrorism and organized crime across the country.
According to the Ministry’s statement, during the reported period, one terrorist was eliminated, and seven others were apprehended. Furthermore, two terrorists surrendered to military authorities. Security forces also detained 22 individuals providing support to terrorist groups in various operations throughout different military regions.
In a major crackdown on drug trafficking networks, army detachments successfully apprehended 242 drug traffickers. Authorities seized substantial quantities of narcotics, including 34.54 quintals of treated cannabis, 87.16 kilograms of cocaine, and over 2.2 million psychotropic tablets intended for distribution within Algeria.
The Ministry’s statement emphasizes that these results reflect the high level of professionalism and effective coordination among various security forces. These efforts are crucial in protecting national borders and confronting diverse security threats aimed at destabilizing the country and endangering the safety of its citizens.
