Algiers, November 11, 2025 – Ooredoo Algeria has signed four significant partnership agreements with prominent Algerian academic institutions. The agreements signify a major step towards fostering academic collaboration and technological innovation within the country.
The partnerships were formalized with the University of Science and Technology Houari Boumediene (USTHB), the National Higher School of Computer Science (ESI), the National Higher School of Artificial Intelligence (ENSIA), and the Higher School of Business Studies (EHEC). The signing ceremony saw the participation of Ooredoo Algeria’s General Manager, Mr. Roni Tohme, alongside the heads of each respective institution: Dean Djamaleddine Akretche of USTHB, Director Mouloud Koudil of ESI, Director Abdelmalik Bechire of ENSIA, and Director Amal Kasmi of EHEC.
These agreements represent a new phase in Ooredoo’s commitment to bolstering academic and technological cooperation. The primary objective is to stimulate innovation and enhance the employability of university graduates in vital sectors of the digital economy. Through these strategic alliances, Ooredoo Algeria pledges to support the development of Algerian talent, encompassing both students and researchers, through a range of practical initiatives.
These initiatives include providing internship opportunities and supervising end-of-study projects within Ooredoo’s technical and executive divisions. Ooredoo will also actively participate in organizing conferences, seminars, workshops, and digital competitions (Hackathons) focusing on future-oriented topics such as artificial intelligence, 5G technology, cybersecurity, and data science. Furthermore, Ooredoo is committed to supporting applied research by leveraging its expertise and infrastructure, launching continuous training programs for students, faculty, and Ooredoo employees, and developing initiatives aimed at promoting professional integration, entrepreneurship, and local innovation.
