The Speaker of the Omani Shura Council will be in Algeria soon.

Ibrahim Boughalli, Speaker of the National People’s Assembly, received today, Thursday, the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Algeria, Saif bin Nasser bin Rashid Al Badawi, according to a statement by the Council.

The head of the lower house of parliament highlighted “the level of good relations that unite the two brotherly countries,” expressing his “satisfaction with the dynamics of bilateral meetings at the level of the Council, which have seen great momentum during this term.”

For his part, the Omani ambassador expressed his “satisfaction with the dynamism that characterizes the bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries, which are expecting to exchange, in the coming period, visits by some officials at the level of the ministries of foreign affairs, higher education and trade.”

The statement added that the meeting “formed the most prominent axes of the expected visit of the Speaker of the Omani Shura Council to Algeria in September next year,” as it “provided an opportunity to address some of the necessary details to ensure its success at all levels.”

The two sides also discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in various fields, including trade, investment, education, and culture. They also expressed their commitment to work together to promote peace and stability in the region.

The visit of the Speaker of the Omani Shura Council to Algeria is expected to be a major step in strengthening the bilateral relations between the two countries. It will provide an opportunity for the two sides to discuss a wide range of issues of mutual interest and to agree on ways to deepen their cooperation in the years to come.
