Qatar 2025 Arab Cup: A Sporting Event with Diplomatic Vision

Doha Prepares to Host the 2025 FIFA Arab Cup

As Qatar intensifies its preparations to host the second edition of the FIFA Arab Cup in 2025, Doha is reinforcing its position as a premier Arab and global sporting destination. The tournament aims to combine professionalism and meticulous organization, embodying the values of solidarity and rapprochement between Arab nations through what is being termed ‘sports diplomacy.’

Algeria Media Event Highlights Cooperation

The National Organization of Algerian Journalists, in coordination with the tournament’s organizing committee, recently held a media event at the Marriott Hotel in Bab Ezzouar, Algeria. This event provided Algerian media professionals with updates on the preparations for the tournament and streamlined procedures for Algerian and Arab fans regarding visas, transportation, and accommodation, all designed to ensure a comfortable and comprehensive viewing experience.

Qatari Ambassador: Ready to Welcome Arab Brothers

During the event, His Excellency Ambassador Abdul Aziz Ali Al-Naama affirmed Qatar’s readiness to host the tournament. He noted that the six stadiums that hosted the 2021 edition have undergone improvements to meet global standards. The Ambassador emphasized that Qatar will provide all necessary facilities for Algerian fans to attend the tournament, reflecting its commitment to enhancing Arab public participation.

The Ambassador clarified that the tournament’s objective extends beyond football, aiming to solidify a culture of Arab solidarity and strengthen economic and investment relations in the sports and tourism sectors. This, he stated, will elevate the strategic value of sports in the Arab region.

Ali Mahmoud: A New Organizational Vision and Exceptional Fan Experience

Ali Mahmoud, Executive Director of Planning and Implementation in the tournament’s organizing committee, outlined the features of the upcoming edition. He emphasized its goal to broaden public participation and strengthen sporting and cultural ties between Arab countries, building upon the success of the 2021 edition despite the challenges posed by the global pandemic.

He highlighted the launch of the ‘Support Your Team’ package, allowing fans to exclusively follow their favorite teams, alongside various packages covering all participating teams. This will provide a unique and interactive experience for the audience. Mahmoud also announced that six world-class stadiums will host the competitions, with the opening match scheduled at Al Bayt Stadium and the final at Lusail Stadium on December 18th, coinciding with Qatar National Day.
