Algiers, Algeria – A significant shift in weather patterns is anticipated across Algeria’s northern regions, starting today, Friday. According to meteorological forecasts, a series of weather disturbances laden with rain and a noticeable drop in temperatures are expected to sweep through the area.
Digital weather models indicate that the western regions will experience the initial rainfall, with thunderstorms possible in some areas. A decrease in temperatures is also predicted. The affected provinces in this initial phase include Relizane, Sidi Bel Abbes, Saida, Tiaret, Mechria, Naama, El Bayadh, Oran, Mostaganem, and Ain Temouchent.
The disturbances are expected to move eastward after midday, impacting the provinces of M’Sila, Constantine, Khenchela, and Tebessa.
In contrast, relatively stable weather conditions are expected to persist in the eastern and central coastal regions, as well as the southern provinces. However, light rainfall is possible in the province of Bechar.
Long-range forecasts suggest that a new series of weather disturbances will approach the northern regions of the country, becoming more active and pronounced starting Monday. Rainy and cold conditions are anticipated due to a significant drop in temperatures. DZWatch will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available.
