Tipaza, Algeria – Civil Protection units have made significant progress in controlling wildfires that erupted across several forest areas in Tipaza province. Authorities announced today that some of the fire outbreaks, which began late Thursday, have been successfully contained.
Firefighting teams are continuing to address and extinguish remaining embers in other active fire zones. Ground operations are ongoing across the province’s forested regions to fully contain the blazes and prevent further spread. The Civil Protection directorate affirmed that its personnel and resources remain fully deployed until complete control of the fires is achieved and the risk of reignition is eliminated.
The efforts aim to protect communities and natural resources threatened by the wildfires.
