The Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that Algeria is ready to provide humanitarian aid to Morocco in the wake of the powerful earthquake that struck the country on Friday evening.
A statement from the ministry said that Algeria is offering a comprehensive plan of assistance, which includes a team of 80 specialized civil protection personnel, including a canine search team, a search and rescue team, a medical team, and humanitarian aid in the form of first aid kits, blankets, and tents.
The ministry said that the offer of assistance is in line with Algeria’s commitment to solidarity with its neighbors and to helping those in need. The statement also expressed Algeria’s condolences to the Moroccan people for the loss of life and damage caused by the earthquake.
