Annababa, Algeria – Eight individuals sustained injuries following an electrical fire that erupted in a residential building in Annaba. The incident occurred on the evening of November 15, 2025, prompting a swift response from local emergency services.
Civil Protection units were dispatched at 9:48 PM local time to respond to a fire involving electrical meters located on the ground floor of an apartment building in the upscale En-Nakheel neighborhood of Annaba city and district. The building is comprised of a ground floor and five additional stories.
The fire resulted in the destruction of fourteen electrical meters. Medical personnel at the scene treated eight individuals, including three children and four women, who were suffering from respiratory distress due to smoke inhalation. One man sustained first-degree burns.
All eight injured individuals received immediate medical attention at the scene before being transported to a local hospital for further treatment and observation.
