Algeria sends delegation to Libya to offer aid after floods

A delegation from Algeria arrived in Libya on Tuesday night to offer assistance after floods that devastated parts of the country.

The delegation, led by Interior Minister Ibrahim Mourad, met with Libyan Presidential Council Chairman Mohamed Younes Menfi in the capital, Tripoli.

The delegation conveyed the condolences of the Algerian president, government, and people to their Libyan counterparts for the deaths and destruction caused by the floods.

The delegation also reaffirmed Algeria’s unconditional solidarity with Libya and its readiness to provide all necessary assistance.

The ministers confirmed that Algeria has begun airlifting humanitarian aid to Libya.

The delegation’s visit is a sign of Algeria’s close ties with Libya and its commitment to helping its neighbor in times of need.
