Algeria defeated Senegal 1-0 in a friendly match on Tuesday in Dakar. The win was a significant boost for the Algerian team, which is in the midst of a rebuilding process.

Algerian coach Djamel Belmadi praised his team’s performance, saying that they played with great determination despite playing away from home.

“We faced the best team in Africa, and we played with a lot of heart,” Belmadi said. “This win is important for us as we continue to rebuild our team.”

The win comes as Algeria is in good form, having won all of its recent matches in the qualifiers for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Belmadi said he is eager to lead Algeria to the World Cup, saying that he wants to experience the feeling of playing in the tournament with the Algerian team.

Algeria’s goal was scored by striker Islam Slimani in the 18th minute.

The match was played in front of a sell-out crowd at the Stade Léopold Sedar Senghor in Dakar
